Long Bay Hypoxia Monitoring Consortium

CCU is doing a fine job of tracking efforts for protecting and enhancing water quality as part of the Grand Strand’s stormwater management program. This includes providing public access to local ocean water quality and weather information. Interest in conducting this work was stimulated by the recent discovery of unusually low oxygen levels in the near-shore waters along the Grand Strand.

Special thanks to Dr. Susan Libes and the NSCWT’s Dr. Paul Gayes for their efforts in making this happen! Great website resource – check it out for yourself!
